BOEING GRANT RECIPIENT - CHILD CAR SAFETY DEVICE
PRODUCT CONCEPTION, research, & prototype for car seat accessory utilizing RFID & LE Bluetooth to help avoid “forgotten child syndrome” deaths.

WINNING TEAM - SERVICE DESIGN JAM PITTSBURGH (MAYA DESIGN)
Conceived-of and prototyped an interactive total user experience for visitors to Pittsburgh using tactile and digital elements.

‘SPEAK EASY’  STARTUP PROJECT MENTORED BY SAND HILL ANGELS
With Speech Recognition IP from Carnegie Mellon, used market and stakeholder analysis, value opportunity analysis, and user research to conceive of- and pitch a video-conferencing captioning and translation SAAS (software as a service) start- up to Sand Hill Angels. Received excellent reviews. 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

PRODUCT MANAGER, IBM Watson Marketing, San Francisco (1/2018-Present)

• Developed vision of 'AI Marketer of the Future' including user research, market sizing, profit model, roadmap prioritization, resource allocation.

• Co-creation of developer experience for new venture, including selection of third-party platform, research & design of new user interface, and roadmap for completion.

• Manage product partner ecosystem: groom and prioritize backlog, vet and facilitate partnership agreements/use cases, balance technical debt with new product features.

• Developed stakeholder insights, product-market fit, & implementation map for VIP program to improve client perception & increase platform engagement to build+maintain a more elite brand.

• Crafted major investment pitch w/ CEO for strategic new digital product showing value prop, market size, investment, growth trajectory.

L’OREAL GROUP: 2005 - 2014

SR. MANAGER, DEVELOPMENT, New York City (2/12-8/15)

• Led Development Team for Matrix, a $100MM salon brand, the largest in L’Oreal’s Professional Products Division.

• Directed cross-functional teams across 10+ departments (purchasing, manufacturing, creative, R&D, etc), while working concurrently with 40 outside suppliers to consistently manufacture innovative, high-quality products, on-time & on budget.

• Exceeded P&L goals with largest-ever relaunch of Biolage, achieving cost reduction of 18%, balancing cost of goods with potential market impact and product design vs production cost, being a strong partner to both brand and manufacturing.

• Designed & piloted supplier partnership project to improve communication, service, quality, cost, time-to-market.

MANAGER, DEVELOPMENT, New York City (2/09-2/12)

• Managed new product launches for Redken, Matrix, and L’Oreal Professionnel covering all aspects of timing, cost, & quality.

• Notable Launches: Redken Clean Brew, Heat Styling (incl. Duo-Shield dual tube), and Chromatics; Matrix Color Insider.

MANAGER, LAUNCH MANUFACTURING, Montreal Canada (10/07-9/09)

• Responsible for coordinating new and updated product launches launch in a French-speaking manufacturing plant. Worked with marketing in NYC, the suppliers in multiple countries, the production floor, the quality team, and the market supply group to produce and deliver on time and on budget.
